Our Homeschool year is under way and I am clinging to:
“But if from there you seek the LORD your God,you will find him if you look for him with all your heartand with all your soul.” – Deuteronomy 4:29
The Lord called me to bring home my 9 year old last year and though He put this desire on my heart, I don’t feel I was ready to take on the task that had been asked of me. I think back over our first homeschool year again and again, pondering what we accomplished – and what we did not. Truly beating myself up.

I took over our homeschool year, a lot.
The Lord has really worked on me and my heart to take on this important calling of homeschooling my son His way.
Seeking the Lord and His desires for our children truly puts our hearts in line with His. If we don’t seek Him our views of what our children need start to step in – causing us to derail from God’s plan for our children.
God has bigger and better plans for our children then we could even imagine.
Letting God guide our every step insures we are equipping our children with what they need to embrace God’s plan.
How do we prepare our hearts for Gods plan so that we may equip our children while homeschooling?
- Prayer Prayer Prayer – if there is anything that I have learned in my first year of homeschooling it is prayer is a must. Keeping our eyes on God and His perfect plan so that we stay on track equipping our children for the journey ahead.
- Embracing our homeschool journey as a ministry – homeschooling takes a lot of time and sacrifice on our parts as moms. Embracing our homeschool as a ministry keeps our mind-set focused on God’s plan and not our own.
- Grace- were gonna mess up – a lot. We’re gonna get in Gods way, were gonna try to do things our way. However, if embrace everyday with grace it helps us to stay focused on God and not us. Keep our eyes on the prize, equipping our children for Gods plan.
God already sees the bigger picture ahead for our children. He has entrusted us to embrace His plan for our children when He made us moms. Let’s trust Him fully with our children and our homeschool and watch His plan come to be in their life.
“Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
