Knowing the academics are put away for a month is a nice feeling. I am hoping for a slower paced month where we can spend time with friends and family instead of rushing around and stressing over everything that ISN’T done on my todo list.   14. I was always happiest around the holidays as a child when there was snow for Christmas. One year snow definitely was not in the forecast and I wished upon a star for a white Christmas. Waking up Christmas morning there was no snow on the ground outside, but my mom had spent all night shredding printer paper “snow” and spreading it all around our living room. This is by far one of my happiest Christmas memories 🙂

    One of my favorite memories was when I was 5 and we spent the night at my uncle’s house and he made it sound like Santa had arrived after we went to bed. Shaking sleigh bells and throwing rocks on the rough outside.

  25. One of my favorite Christmas memories is making fudge with my Grandmother. She is no longer on earth, but each year I still try to make some. It is never (nor ever will be) as good as Grandma’s but it makes me smile.
