It’s that time of year when everyone starts traveling. Spring break, convention season, and summer break are all right around the corner. It may seem like a simple task, and you may think you already travel with integrity, but sometimes there are things that slip our minds. When we get busy and we are traveling with children, certain things can get swept to the side and forgotten about.
This is especially true if you are a Christian traveling to conventions. It is a great opportunity to show the love of God to everyone that you come in contact with. When we are traveling to Christian functions, we need to make sure that we are giving Christians a good reputation when we are traveling.
I believe that this sets a good example to our children. We need to show them that we take care of other’s property as if it were our own. For instance, if you are in a hotel don’t leave your trash all over the room expecting someone else to clean it up. I know I look forward to a clean room that I didn’t have to make the bed, or wash the towels. However, I feel like we take advantage of this at times, leaving a bigger mess in the room than what is necessary.
When we travel to a convention, we need to remember that the leaders have worked long and tirelessly on the event. They have poured their lives into making it the very best it can be. Does that mean there won’t be glitches along the way, no! Sometimes stuff happens that is out of our control. We need to make sure to uplift those that have worked so hard. Can you imagine working on something for months and then someone start complaining about the work you did?
As we go into this traveling season, I encourage you to travel with integrity. Show the love of God to every staff member you come in contact with.
