I have been so blessed to be apart of the great homeschool community that has made up The HSV the past 2 years.
We have brought you articles on how to’s, science, pe, reviews, recipes, veteran insight, book lists, garden challenges, games, sharing faith, unschooling, frugal schooling, giveaways, lapbooking, special needs, newbie diary, and so so many other beneficial posts.
But rather than give you more things to read – the most important thing is to spend time with your/our children.
Rather than tell you how to homeschool better, teach better, organize better, or even blog better … we want you to live better.
The HSV team and I believe “living better” requires time well spent with our families. Time for you and I to unplug from the computer and plug into our families and God’s Word.
Starting this month and throughout the summer The HSV is committing to only updating 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Our team of 24 writers will split and rotate contributing each month to bring you articles written according to their passions, experiences, and spiritual gifts. First and foremost writing what God leads them to share with us!
Thank you so much for your time, encouragement, and support of our community. We have enjoyed building bridges and desire to keep working – but just at a slower pace putting our priorities in correct alignment.
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up”. Deuteronomy 6:5-7

WOOT!

You are so wise to make this change. Taking care of ourselves and our families gets neglected too easily. I know we are prayerfully looking for better balance at 7 Sisters this summer, too! Blessings, HSV!

God will honor your requests — some times we just have to get out of the way of all the “working”. “be still and know that I am God”

Beautiful decision by obedient women. He will honor this in a big way.

Thank you Lisa!!

Wise decision. Moms really don’t have time to read something more often than that anyway!

thanks Jimmie – we’re looking forward to walking what we’re preaching!
