Are your kids allowed to pick out their own PJs at bed time? Mine does, and it’s like he treats it as a time for “dress up” because he gets to be a ninja turtle, soldier, or any number of characters as he gets ready for bed. I’m sure he even dreams about his adventures, much like the characters in The Adventures of Pajama Girl!
A cute, illustrated story about a girl’s imagination and her magical pajamas. In this adventure, Ellie’s cupcake pajamas pave the way for she and her Sis to take a journey to a land filled with all kinds of sweet treats. Their journey quickly turns into an adventure to help the Cupcake Queen find the missing sprinkles needed for her coronation ceremony. In searching for the missing sprinkles, Ellie and Sis uncover a life lesson that is important for every child to learn.
We love to read in my family, both for learning and especially for fun. Luckily my son has picked up on this passion, though he still wants to be read to and then he re-tells the story based on our conversation and the pictures. And while the kids in this book are mostly girls, he still loved to read it over and over.
I think the book helps kids learn a few important lessons, like not being jealous or doing acts of kindness for other people. These are great for our kids to learn at any age, but especially when they are young and can be taught through a wonderful story like this one.
I love the colorful graphics and seeing the characters learn as they go through the story. Plus they pray before bedtime, and my son was so excited because many of the things they did were just like us! He got a real kick out of that!
